Originally written in 1965 by Claude “Curly” Putman, Jr and recorded by Jonny Darrell, this country classic did not hit number one on the charts until Tom Jones released his version in 1966.

It has been covered by countless artists ever since, from Charley Pride and The Statler Brothers, to Dean Martin and Johnny Cash. The Grateful Dead did a version of this song in 1969, Elvis had a hit with it, and even Kenny Rogers did a version.

Haidee was inspired by Glennis Grace’s version of this classic country song, and performs her version here. This was a fan request, and we hope you enjoy it!
