Yellow was originally written and performed by Coldplay in the year 2000. It was their breakthrough international hit, and remains one of their most popular songs.

The movie “Crazy Rich Asians” included a Chinese language cover used as the last song in the 2018 movie.

Jodie Whittaker, star of the cult series Dr Who, covered the song in 2019 for the “BBC Children in Need” album.
